The Human Rights & Humanitarian Response Program is designed to empower
communities, particularly youth to understand, advocate for, and protect fundamental
human rights while strengthening their capacity to respond effectively to humanitarian
crises. This program addresses pressing human rights challenges in Somalia and builds
resilience against natural disasters, conflict, displacement, and other emergencies.
Through a combination of awareness campaigns, capacity-building workshops, advocacy
initiatives, and direct humanitarian interventions, the program ensures vulnerable
populations receive timely support while promoting a culture of respect, equality, and
justice. It integrates education on human rights standards, legal frameworks, and
humanitarian principles with practical training in emergency response, psychosocial
support, and community mobilization.
The program targets youth leaders, civil society actors, and vulnerable communities,
cultivating a generation of informed, responsible, and proactive citizens committed to
human rights and humanitarian action.
